Etherjack® Alliance Partners
As carriers look to scale their Ethernet services, the ability to utilize Etherjack demarcation devices along with a variety of complementary network equipment is critical. ADVA Optical Networking has partnered with industry leading suppliers in a variety of technology areas to simplify and speed the deployment of intelligent Ethernet services that can be remotely provisioned, monitored and tested. ADVA Optical Networking’s development team has worked with our alliance partners to ensure compatibility and interoperability with our Etherjack equipment. This minimizes the time a carrier must spend developing back office systems and performing interoperability testing.
Included below are some of our current partners:
ADVA Optical Networking and Alcatel-Lucent have partnered together to offer a total solution for carriers looking to deliver Carrier Ethernet services using the industry-leading 7x50 SR family of service edge routers from Alcatel-Lucent together with ADVA Optical Networking's FSP 150 family of demarcation products. These two products are top choices by many carriers and interop well together. When combined with common management via Alcatel-Lucent's 5620 SAM platform, they provide a complete Ethernet service-delivery solution capable of delivering an intelligent Ethernet service, including the latest OAM protocols. This combination of products enables delivery of MEF-certified services such as E-Line, E-LAN and E-Tree for both Business Ethernet as well as mobile backhaul applications.
ADVA Optical Networking will expand the reach of their Etherjack® portfolio, using DragonWave’s AirPair to offer native Ethernet services remotely at capacities up to 200 Mbps full duplex over wireless access infrastructure. DragonWave’s AirPair product is ideally suited for carrier customers, using their mesh configuration, to deliver 99.999% availability and 50ms switching time. The ADVA Optical Networking Etherjack demarcation device will enable traditional carrier management methods to reduce turn-up, test and maintenance costs over the AirPair solution. The combined offering allows ADVA Optical Networking and DragonWave to offer carrier-class Ethernet services without the bounds of traditional wirelines. For additional information click here.
ADVA Optical Networking’s Etherjack technology works with InfoVista's VistaInsight for Networks back office system for managing and monitoring Ethernet SLAs. Working with the Etherjack Service Assurance (ESA) capability found in the FSP 150, InfoVista's performance management OS collects ESA data from the Etherjack devices, stores it in a database and provides customized web based SLA reports for end-users, as well as forecasting tools for carrier NOC and planning groups. It enables carriers to offer and verify end to end Ethernet SLAs for the first time. For more details view the following:
JDSU and ADVA Optical Networking have partnered to create a joint solution to provide seamless end-to-end automated Ethernet service turn-up testing and verification capabilities by providing interoperability between JDSU’s NetComplete™ Service Assurance Solution and ADVA Optical Networking’s Etherjack® customer premise demarcation products.
