The Dynamic Optical Transport Solution

The ADVA Optical Networking FSP 3000RE is a cost-effective, dynamic optical transport platform that provides a multitude of service-interfaces for central offices, customer premises, co-location and carrier hotel applications. The FSP 3000RE can also support regional networks, where reach requirements could be up to 2000km and spans could reach 160km using Raman amplification.

The FSP 3000RE provides a versatile, cost-effective, and compact platform for access, metro and regional applications. Customer premises and small office services can be equipped with minimal startup cost in ring and linear topologies. Any wavelength(s) maybe selectively configured at any node, with Reconfigurable Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer (ROADM) or with fixed OADM filters, delivering an assortment of transparent, protocol-independent or aggregated services.

Typical applications include fiber exhaust relief, optical wholesale carrier services, optical VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), as well as transport for IPTV and Gigabit Ethernet services. On a per-wavelength basis, service differentiation and customer SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are easily accommodated with several protection options as well as extensive monitoring and control via the RAYcontrol™ GMPLS based control plane.

Additional FSP 3000RE applications include regional options supporting extended span distances. This allows service providers to address longer regional reach applications at metro level pricing.

With minimal costs FSP 3000RE offers a wide choice of transceivers to meet any access, metro or regional requirements. The FSP 3000RE may be configured with the optional eROADM^™ unit, which can be added at each node for add/drop reconfigurability and improved resilience. Alternatively, access traffic can be hubbed into a FSP 3000RR multi-degree ROADM, providing integration of transport and wavelength switching.
