Human Resources Generalist (M/F)

The HR Generalist (M/F) is responsible for managing the day-to-day human resources activities of our employees based in Munich, Vienna and Zurich and will be part of an international HR team. He/she provides a service to both managers and employees for any issues in an innovative and fast moving working environment with manifold challenges. The position is a maternity leave replacement and initially limited.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day administration and organization:
  • Steering the recruitment process from job interview to employment, such as interviewing and supporting the selection of prospective employees
  • Issuance and amendments to employment contracts
  • Coaching and advising employees and managers on all HR-related matters escalating when required
  • Support and conduct difficult personnel discussions such as on performance improvement or termination
  • Organizing and evaluating general information events and trainings
  • Ensuring processes and policies are up-to date, implemented and followed
  • Cooperate with and support the ADVA Workers Council
  • Supporting the Employee Life Cycle process through our HR Shared Service Center including:
  • Employee relations, retention and morale
  • Performance Management
  • Staffing and Recruiting, Compensation & Benefits requirements
  • Supporting the implementation of global and local standards and policies

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the HR environment of an international company
  • Degree in management/business or HR-related qualification
  • Advanced formal HR experience in HR systems and techniques
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and German
  • Sound knowledge of local labor law
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiastic, energetic, organized, proactive, “fair” and objective, commitment to discretion
  • Structured and pragmatic hands-on approach with attention to detail while maintaining the overview and see the bigger picture
  • Perceived as an example for other employees and the own team in terms of communication style, demeanor, etc
